Welcome to the Tracer and EnKF reservoir forecasting site
Improved reservoir forecasting through natural and injected tracer modeling, an IFE-IRIS Petromaks project

Tracers can be
used to "colour" the injection water and track the water flood from
producer to injector.
Ordinary tracers, as well as geochemical and isotope variation of reservoir fluids should be used in a better way to improve our understanding of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Our project addresses this challenge by bringing together geochemical, tracer and modeling competence at IRIS and IFE (project leader). We aim to promote use of ordinary as well as natural tracers to improve reservoir models and forecasts. Tracer data are added to an assisted history matching work-flow by use of the Ensemble Kalman Filter.
